Asbar World Forum launched in the fourth round 2019 the "Glossary of Basic Terms in Futures Studies", marking the second publication under the "Book of the Year" project.

The "glossary" idea came up to fill a gap in this genre of knowledge, establish a common ground for a mutually understandable language among the researchers in futures studies and introduce this field to the public. This effort is expected to establish a terminology reference, open the door for introducing the futures studies and expand this knowledge in the Arab world.

The glossary is directed to all classes of Arabic language readers who are not specialized in the futures studies, and who wish to know about this field. It also provides the researchers with a knowledge base in the standardized terms in Arabic in this field, which will help them conduct studies using their Arabic thinking and terms.

The glossary comprises 80 simplified terms, particularly those approved by international organizations like the UNESCO. The booklet presents the most known terms in the field, including definitions and explanations, with the references.
